Elizabeth line and London Overground customers are encouraged to check before they travel next month, ahead of weekend engineering work that will affect usual services. The planned works will mean reduced services, some sections of lines opening later in the day, and others closed and served by rail replacement buses.
Customers should check before they travel on the TfL Go app, or Journey Planner on the TfL website, and allow extra time for their journeys.
During the closures, vital engineering works to improve reliability will be completed in east London by Network Rail, the maintainer of railway infrastructure in this area. In the central part of the Elizabeth line, TfL will undertake track renewals.
Claire Mann, TfL’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “We’re sorry for any disruption caused by the planned engineering works taking place on the Elizabeth line and London Overground in March. These essential upgrades will help us maintain a safe, reliable service for our customers. We advise customers to check your journey before travelling, using the TfL Go app or at TfL.gov.uk, and allow a little extra time where needed.”
