Folk (www.folkcoliving.com) is an award-winning co-living brand on a mission to set a new standard for renting. The brand delivers three sites across London each of which designed with Folk’s key pillars of community and connection at their heart. Across Harrow, Battersea and Earlsfield, Folk provides amazing communal spaces alongside elevated studio apartments that, together, encourage social interaction and the formation of new friendships and relationships.
After extensive research with renters, Folk co-living is seeking to disrupt the rental market by eradicating the traditional pain-points tenants face. The brand gives its residents the opportunity to enjoy new experiences every day through a varied programme of events, ranging from morning yoga to cooking masterclasses.
Since the pandemic, demand has grown hugely for co-living spaces in cities, as people reassess what they want from their homes following months of isolation with limited social interaction, poor work from home environments, and little or no outdoor space.[1] Co-living spaces have become increasingly attractive as a cost-effective way for people to live, work and socialise in one building, particularly in the capital where rents continue to increase and the quality of the properties is often not reflective of this price.
Folk and its buildings named The Palm House, Florence Dock and Sunday Mills, offer studio apartment at competitive prices with all utilities, council tax, events, access to shared spaces and services included. The Palm House (Harrow) opened in 2022 closely followed by Sunday Mills (Earlsfield) in 2022 and Florence Dock (Battersea) in 2023. Each building’s shared spaces including onsite gyms, rooftop terraces, co-working spaces, cinema rooms and more.
Folk at Florence Dock also offers a unique hotel-style stay through its short stay booking option. Guests are able to book studio rooms and access to shared spaces for 1 – 89 nights allowing them to experience a home away from home while visiting the capital.
