Inside Stickin’ Boy – a new punk rock ’n’ roll musical inspired by the spirit of The Clash

Martin Muscatt and Taurus Trakker are delighted to announce a limited six-night run of STICKIN’ BOY, a brand-new punk rock ’n’ roll musical coming to the intimate Etcetera Theatre in Camden from 5–10 May 2026.
Written by Martin Muscatt, with additional material by Mick Jones of The Clash, STICKIN’ BOY invites audiences into the electrifying underground world of late-70s Soho, a world of vice, punk energy, and unapologetic rebellion.
Set in 1977, the story follows Eddy, a 20-year-old aspiring punk musician trapped in a dead-end job and weighed down by a growing gambling habit. Living with his alcoholic father, he’s desperate to break out of his monotonous life. Everything changes when he meets Candy, a sex worker who draws him into the hidden world of Soho as her “stickin’ boy”, posting calling cards in phone boxes to promote her services.
Soon Eddy finds himself navigating an exciting yet dangerous scene, guided by charismatic sex workers Mandy, Tuesday and Wendy. Overseeing it all is Madame O, the formidable “Oracle” who warns him of the risks of getting too close to Candy. Meanwhile, the streets are shadowed by Psycho Jack, a rival stickin’ boy determined to control the territory at any cost.
Speaking about the production, Martin Muscatt said, “Stickin’ Boy began with me, Mick Jones, and a laptop. This musical play we’ve been working on for ages is finally happening in May 2026, and I can’t wait to see it take form on stage.”
Accompanying the production is a double vinyl album of original songs, capturing the raw, rebellious spirit of 1977 , and highlighting the musical styles of the era. Featuring tracks by London band Taurus Trakker, cast members, and special guests, with audio clips of the play in its original radio format, the album channels the gritty pulse of the era.
Gritty, honest, and pulsing with punk attitude, STICKIN’ BOY is a powerful journey through youth, ambition, survival and the music that keeps us fighting.
