London’s Biggest Classic Car & Vintage Festival Returns to King’s Cross

The Classic Car Boot Sale returns to King’s Cross on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September, bringing together music, pre-loved fashion and iconic motoring across one of London’s most welcoming neighbourhoods. It’s time to polish the chrome, pull on your favourite vintage finds and head to the capital’s biggest celebration of classic cars, sustainable style and vinyl culture. Since launching in 2012, The Classic Car Boot Sale has established itself as one of Europe’s leading vintage lifestyle and circular economy fashion events, attracting discerning collectors and second-hand fashion lovers and motoring enthusiasts from across the UK and overseas.

Set across King’s Cross’s distinctive public spaces and canal-side streets, The Classic Car Boot Sale forms part of King’s Cross’s wider Escape in London programme, which invites visitors to pause and rediscover joy in the city through unique experiences, events and moments of escape without ever leaving London. Alongside the festival, visitors can explore independent retailers, destination dining and the neighbourhood’s vibrant cultural offering, making a day of their visit.

Taking place across Granary Square, Lewis Cubitt Square and Coal Drops Yard, this much-loved two-day festival brings together more than 100 carefully curated vintage and second-hand traders, many of whom travel from across Europe and as far afield as the United States to be part of the event. With demand for pitches consistently exceeding availability, securing a trading space at The Classic Car Boot Sale has become a mark of quality for vintage and curated second-hand dealers, offering the opportunity to showcase their collections to one of the UK’s most knowledgeable and style-conscious audiences.

Alongside more than 100 exceptional heritage vehicles, visitors can enjoy live vinyl DJs, street food and creative workshops celebrating circular fashion, craftsmanship and timeless design. Wander between music, markets and the canal side to discover one of London’s most photogenic weekends, where fashion, music automotive heritage and urban rejuvenation come together in a unique celebration of style, creativity and community.

This year’s event welcomes, for the first time, Eclectic Classic Car Club, whose beautifully restored and wonderfully unusual collection of vehicles promises one of the most diverse displays ever seen at The Classic Car Boot Sale. Expect immaculate restorations, rare models and conversation-starting classics that showcase the creativity and individuality of Britain’s thriving classic car scene.

A soundtrack as stylish as the cars

Following hugely popular extended DJ sessions, this year’s programme features even longer vinyl sets celebrating the music, fashion and design culture of the 1940s through to the early 2000s.

The Classic Car Boot Sale has always championed DJs, record collectors and club nights that reflect the eras represented throughout the event. Long before the recent resurgence of 1960s music and style, our resident selectors have been keeping dancefloors packed with authentic sounds from the Mod, Northern Soul, ska, reggae and vintage scenes.

Across the weekend visitors can expect:

• Lady Kamikaze (Tomoko) – Tropical Yard, bringing vibrant Tropical, Cumbia, Mambo, Calypso, Ska and Reggae.
• Martin Green (Smashing Club & Sound Gallery), one of London’s most respected selectors with an eclectic mix spanning soul, funk, jazz, house and disco.
• Dave Cooper (Six Million Steps / Stomp Radio), delivering Balearic, electronic dance music alongside funk, soul and house favourites.
• Corey & Jack Hemingway, spinning smooth soul, easy disco and international grooves.
• Special guest – DJ Babzotica, making her Classic Car Boot Sale debut all the way from Melbourne with infectious 1950s and ’60s girl groups, rock ‘n’ roll and dancefloor gems.
Joining them are many of the club nights and DJs who have helped shape London’s enduring vintage music scene, including Modcast, Chez 66, Pink Panther and Tickety Boo Club, proving that authentic sounds and timeless style never go out of fashion.

New traders and creative experiences

Alongside returning favourites, visitors can discover exciting new independent traders and makers.

Among the highlights is Victoria Wet Plate Studio Photography, offering the rare opportunity to have your portrait taken using the remarkable Victorian wet plate collodion process.

Using original nineteenth-century chemistry, real silver and vintage lenses, every image is created directly onto glass or metal to produce a completely unique, archival portrait designed to last for generations. In today’s digital world, it’s a beautifully slow, hands-on craft that perfectly complements the spirit of the event.
