Mumford & Sons and Breabach to headline Grand Ole Opry: Live in London show

The Grand Ole Opry, the legendary home of country music that has captivated audiences for 100 years, today announced “Grand Ole Opry: Live in London” will be broadcast exclusively on BBC Two and BBC Radio 2, bringing the Opry to millions of people across the UK.

Special UK guest artists Mumford & Sons and Breabach are slated to appear alongside Opry members Luke Combs, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce, Darius Rucker and Marty Stuart for the first-ever live international broadcast at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on Friday, 26th Sept. 2025.

Fans can tune in to BBC Radio 2 (the UK’s most listened to radio station with a weekly audience of 12.6m) and BBC Sounds on Thursday 2nd October from 7 p.m. to hear the show in its original format as a live radio broadcast, as part of an evening celebrating country music. Following the radio presentation, BBC Two will air a special TV broadcast in October, with highlights from what promises to be an unforgettable night.

The collaboration with the BBC marks a significant milestone in the Opry’s global journey and underscores their shared commitment to showcasing country music in the UK.

During the programme, which will follow the traditional Opry show format, fans can look forward to a blend of contemporary and classic country hits, showcasing a wide variety of country music styles and featuring exclusive collaborations.

A limited selection of tickets, including Gallery Standing tickets, will be made available for purchase at 10 a.m. on 12th Sept., through the Royal Albert Hall box office and at Royalalberthall.com.

“Grand Ole Opry: Live in London” will be co-hosted by BBC Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay and WSM Radio host Kelly Sutton. The telecast is executive produced by Guy Freeman with LiveWire Pictures, Steve Buchanan with SteadiBeat Media and Bob Shennan along with Martin Fischer, Patrick Q. Moore and Dan Rogers for the Grand Ole Opry. The BBC Two broadcast of Grand Ole Opry: Live in London is commissioned by Rachel Davies, Commissioning Editor, BBC Popular Music TV. The Head of BBC Popular Music TV is Jonathan Rothery.

In celebration of “Grand Ole Opry: Live in London,” the Opry has partnered with Julien’s Auctions to offer a rare experience benefiting the Opry Trust Fund, which has supported members of the country music community in times of need since 1965.
