The rising star, known on the circuit as ” The Ultimate Geezer,” has been booked to appear at the famous Horseshoe hotel in the run-up to Wrestlemania42.
Tommy, from Hampstead, London, will team up with up-and-coming French partner Kuro to fight against the experienced tag team known as Subculture, both former WWE wrestlers.
Tommy, 27, who trains five days a week with renowned coach Greg Burridge in between bouts all over the UK, said:” This is a massive step up for me. It can’t get better than fighting in Vegas on the eve of WrestleMania. It is going to be a huge buzz and get that little bit nearer to the dream of being signed to a major WWE promotion. ”
The match is scheduled on April 16th under a Progress Wrestling promotion, and Tommy and his partner will make their debut at 11 am.
He added,” I’m hoping to pick up another match as I’m there for five days, but it will all be a good experience. ”
Tanner has a strict diet and spends £1500 a month on protein, like lean meats and eggs, pasta and rice, and fresh vegetables. His goal is to burst into the top ranks of wrestlers worldwide and hopefully become a British WWE champion in the next few years.
Last Thursday, commuters at London’s King’s Cross station were shocked to see Tommy appear in a live promotion in a ring on the concourse for ethical chocolate brand Tony’s Chocolonely.
The stunt featured four matches with a live referee and compere and highlighted the TV campaign running on SKY TV, which promotes fair trade and sustainability for cocoa farmers.
