The Natural History Museum has an array of activities for love bugs, solitary snow leopards, flocks of friends and significant otters looking to make Valentine’s plans this year.
Friday 13 February: Valentine’s Silent Disco

Want to celebrate Valentine’s Day early, or looking for the perfect Galentine’s Day activity? Head to the Natural History Museum’s iconic Silent Disco.
Under the gaze of Hope the Whale, don a pair of headphones and throw some shapes in Alfred Waterhouse’s stunning Romanesque cathedral to nature.
Held in the museum’s stunning Hintze Hall, its Wonder Bays are filled with divas ready to disco, from dinosaurs and butterflies to the elephant’s Ice Age relative, the American mastodon.
The Silent Disco takes place from 21:00 and finishes at midnight. Tickets are on sale now from the Natural History Museum website, and prices start from £36 for Natural History Museum members, or £40 for non-members.

Saturday 14 February: Valentine’s at the Museum lates event

On Saturday 14 February, visitors to the Valentine’s at the Museum lates event can explore fascinating galleries after hours, sip on cocktails and learn from Museum scientists as they delve into love in the animal kingdom.
The annual after-hours event offers a chance for quality time with a date or friends at the Museum, away from the day-time crowds. Join dance classes hosted by Pineapple Dance Studios, create vintage collage cards and visit science stations to hear about all the weird and wonderful ways animals find a mate.
Enjoy the fully stocked bar while listening to a live harpist and choir, before heading into the Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Space: Could Life Exist Beyond Earth? exhibitions.
The adult-only (18 and over) event takes place from 18:45 and finishes at 22:30. Tickets are on sale now from the Natural History Museum website, and prices start from £36 for Natural History Museum members, and £40 for non-members. There will not be a Silent Disco at this event.

Produced by the award-winning filmmakers behind many of Sir David’s documentaries, this new 50-minute experience blends footage of the natural world with cutting-edge animation to create something truly special that you can’t experience from home.
