Stagecoach Southgate is celebrating a fantastic achievement after two students from its new Further Stages Propel programme were chosen to showcase their work at the UAL Awarding Body Origins Creatives 2026 exhibition on the 17th of July.
Tianna Lampard and Isla Lush were chosen from more than 600 submissions from UAL centres across the UK, making this an exceptional accomplishment for both the students and Stagecoach Southgate in the first year of delivering the UAL Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
As part of the UAL qualification, approved centres nationwide are invited to submit examples of their learners’ strongest work for consideration. This year marks the first time Stagecoach has been eligible to enter students following the launch of the Further Stages Propel programme, making the double selection an exciting milestone for the school.
The students will perform as part of the Origins Creatives 2026 showcase at Mall Galleries, London, on Friday 17 July, with performances scheduled for 11.00am and 2.00pm.
Further Stages Propel is Stagecoach Performing Arts’ programme for students aged 14+, delivered in partnership with Performers College and awarded by UAL Awarding Body. The two-year course combines high-quality performance training with the opportunity to achieve a Level 3 Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) worth up to 28 UCAS points at A*.
Alongside weekly performance training, students develop production and leadership skills, build audition portfolios and receive expert guidance for drama school applications, Higher Education and careers within the performing arts industry.
Tianna Lampard: Emotional Truth in Performance
For her project, “Cabaret Performance: Emotional Truth in Performance to Accelerate Acting Technique and Ability,” Tianna explored emotional authenticity through performance, focusing on Claire from the musical Ordinary Days.
Performing the poignant song I’ll Be Here, Tianna embraced a role that challenged her to move beyond the heightened characters she had previously performed, discovering greater emotional depth through subtlety, stillness and truthful characterisation. She also produced a self-taped monologue as Katherine Johnson from Hidden Figures, further demonstrating her versatility and commitment to developing her craft.
Her performances showcased exceptional emotional honesty and artistic growth.
Isla Lush: Exploring Casting Type and Character
Isla’s project, “Cabaret Performance: An Exploration of Casting Type, Comedy, Character and Vocal Technique,” focused on refining her acting and vocal skills while developing a stronger understanding of casting type for future auditions.
Performing I Think That He Likes Me from the musical Out of Our Heads alongside a live pianist, Isla demonstrated confident characterisation, expressive comedic timing, strong vocal technique and impressive versatility as she navigated moments of comedy, vulnerability and sincerity.
By carefully selecting material that reflected her strengths, Isla created a distinctive audition profile while gaining valuable insight into professional performance expectations.
A Proud Moment for Stagecoach Southgate
Kate Diaz, Principal of Stagecoach Southgate, said:
“To have two students selected for Origins Creatives from over 600 submissions is an incredible achievement and something we’re immensely proud of. Tianna has been part of Stagecoach for eight years, and Isla for five years, and it has been an absolute joy to watch them grow into the talented performers they are today. Seeing both their potential realised over the years has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m delighted that they have been recognised in this way.”
Further Stages Propel tutor Rob Anderson added:
“Both Tianna and Isla have worked exceptionally hard, continually challenging themselves, embracing feedback and striving to develop as performers. Their selection is a wonderful recognition of their talent, commitment and professionalism, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything they have accomplished. We can’t wait to see their work showcased at Origins Creatives 2026.”
